It's permanently docked in Lake Charles, but can't you just imagine this boat as the backdrop for a steampunk paranormal romance?

A full moon...hmmm...I'm thinking a few wolves, maybe wolf shifters.

While going to the grocery store, I happened to look up and saw this thing in the sky. It took me several minutes to realize what I was looking at, because at first the sun was reflecting off of it. Luckily, I wasn't driving. Where does your imagination take you with this picture?

Morning Routines...Maybe

Honestly, I'm not a morning person. I prefer sitting up late night, working on whatever project I'm working on. I don't have to worry about distractions like I do during the day.

Work.

Phone calls.

Cooking.

Laundry.

Family.

The list seems endless, but then that's the way it is when you have a family and a full-time day job.

So, when it comes to writing, my morning routine is really an evening routine.
  • I get home from work.
  • Fix supper (or pick something up on the way home.)
  • Clean up.
  • Do laundry if needed.
  • Write or work on writing related stuff until I have to go to sleep.
My routine is flexible. It has to be, because I don't always get home at the same time, and then there's life that happens. Even though I do most of my writing in the evenings, I try to squeeze some writing in throughout the day.

In the morning...I drink a cup or two of coffee/tea, and get ready for the day job, but my mind is on my stories and my writing.

A view of Bryant Station Bridge from the banks. I was standing on the old gravel road when I took this picture.
